Privacy and data protection
QC Central Privacy Policy
This policy explains how the QC Central website, member portal, and mobile app handle member and visitor information.
Last updated: August 19, 2026
Who this policy covers
QC Central is the digital member portal of UAP QC Central Chapter. This policy applies when you use our public website, authenticated member services, or the QC Central mobile app.
Information we collect
- Account and membership information: name, email address or username, PRC and UAP details, chapter, contact information, profile settings, and authentication records.
- Member activity: event attendance, committee participation, missions, advocacy and reward activity, dues records, and payment status.
- Member submissions: photos or files you choose to upload as mission or payment proof, together with related notes and review status.
- Directory information: selected professional information only when you opt in to directory visibility.
- Notifications: an optional device token when notification permission is granted.
- Technical and security information: basic request, device, session, and diagnostic information used to protect accounts and maintain reliability.
How we use information
We use information to authenticate members, provide chapter services, process attendance and submissions, administer membership records, communicate relevant announcements, prevent misuse, troubleshoot the service, and comply with chapter or legal obligations.
We do not sell personal information and do not use uploaded proof images for advertising.
Storage and sharing
The mobile app communicates with the QC Central API over HTTPS, and mobile session credentials are stored using secure device storage. Access to member records and uploaded proof is restricted according to account roles.
Information may be shared with authorized chapter officers, administrators, and service providers that help operate the portal. We may also disclose information when required by law or necessary to protect members, the chapter, or the service.
Retention and security
We keep personal information only for as long as needed for the purposes described here. Some financial, governance, attendance, audit, or legal records may need to be retained after an account is closed. Where practical, information that no longer needs to identify you is deleted or de-identified.
We use access controls, authenticated sessions, secure transport, and operational safeguards designed to reduce unauthorized access. No online service can guarantee absolute security.
Your choices and rights
- You may update supported profile information from the member profile screen.
- Directory visibility and push notifications are optional.
- You may deny camera, photo, or notification permission. Features that depend on that permission may not work.
- You may request access to, correction of, or deletion of personal information, subject to identity verification and required retention.
Account and data deletion
You can request deletion using the email instructions in this section. In the mobile app, open Profile and select Privacy policy to return to this page.
- Send the request from your registered email address or identify the username connected to your account.
- Provide your name and enough account information for us to verify ownership. Never send your password.
- After verification, we will delete or de-identify data that is not required for financial, legal, security, audit, or chapter-governance purposes.
Children
QC Central is intended for chapter members and is not directed to children under 13. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children through the app.
